For Jo and Kaitlyn, the wedding was all about finally being married!! They had waited so long to officially become husband and wife and they knew that they were going to throw a huge party when they finally got to say I Do!! The day was full of things that they love the most: Friends, family, good food, god beer, a Second Line band, and most importantly yellow umbrellas during their Second Line recessional 🙂 The yellow umbrellas are tribute to one of their favorite shows, How I Met Your Mother. The show also played a role in their engagement when Jo did the great’s play, “The Kaitlyn”.
Their wedding was filled with laughter and joy all day long!! These two love to have a great time and their wedding day was no exception!! We are so glad we go to celebrate with these dear souls and see their love finally sealed in marriage!!

On the anniversary of their fifteenth year of dating Melissa and Brian walked down the aisle and secured their love to one another!! This day was clearly a long time coming and you could feel ALL the emotions that they both had leading up to their commitment to one another. Their wedding ceremony was a symbol not only to themselves but to the world that there was no one else for them and they were sealing their love for FOREVER! It was extremely fitting that they had their intimate wedding ceremony in a former bank vault as it symbolized the security that they have found in one another’s love.
(more…)Some would say (I definitely say…) Meredith and Evan have the best luck! From the diamond in the ring, to the dress she wore, to the weather that showered their day… they may be the luckiest people this side of the Mississippi! Through rain, shine, more rain, breakthrough sunset, and a gorgeous evening, family and friends celebrated this marriage well! This family knows what it means to cherish this life and live it well. Every detail was thoughtful and every guest brought more joy to the atmosphere. Meredith and Evan, enjoy walking through every season of life together as you did this day!
(more…)One of our absolutely favorite things about being wedding photographers is getting to meet families and see them through life. Nine years ago we photographed Barbara’s wedding to Dave and in the process can to LOVE the Phillips family. Fast forward a few years and Kendall was in my (Savannah sister’s wedding and he even escorted me during the recessional. We got even close to Kendal through my sister and brother-in-law and got to see him meet, fall in love with, propose to, and now marry Alexis!!!
There is something so special about knowing the couple well when we get to photograph their wedding. We get to see in to the little bit of their love for one another and know their inside jokes. Also we get to see and truly know the love that their family and friends have for them. Kendall and Alexis decided to have a very intimate family only ceremony and then had all their bridal party join them afterwards! Seeing all their friends come up and give them the biggest hugs and congratulations after was the best! Everyone was so genuinely happy and excited for them!
