Kendall and Alexis : A Pink Palace Wedding by Savannah and Philip

Kendall and Alexis : A Pink Palace Wedding by Savannah and Philip

One of our absolutely favorite things about being wedding photographers is getting to meet families and see them through life. Nine years ago we photographed Barbara’s wedding to Dave and in the process can to LOVE the Phillips family. Fast forward a few years and Kendall was in my (Savannah sister’s wedding and he even escorted me during the recessional. We got even close to Kendal through my sister and brother-in-law and got to see him meet, fall in love with, propose to, and now marry Alexis!!!

There is something so special about knowing the couple well when we get to photograph their wedding. We get to see in to the little bit of their love for one another and know their inside jokes. Also we get to see and truly know the love that their family and friends have for them. Kendall and Alexis decided to have a very intimate family only ceremony and then had all their bridal party join them afterwards! Seeing all their friends come up and give them the biggest hugs and congratulations after was the best! Everyone was so genuinely happy and excited for them!

Stephanie, Jeff, and their families celebrated their marriage at the historic Graceland Chapel in the Woods. The gorgeous weather and quaint atmosphere was perfect for their intimate ceremony. Stephanie’s son took his responsibility as Ring Bearer very seriously and did a fabulous job! The bond him and Stephanie have is really special and the happiness on his face to see his mom so happy was priceless! Congratulations to you all!

Karen and David: An Annesdale Mansion Wedding Reception by Savannah and Philip

Karen and David: An Annesdale Mansion Wedding Reception by Savannah and Philip

Last year Karen and David made the really difficult decision to pivot their wedding and instead of having the big Annesdale Mansion ceremony and reception they instead had a very intimate ceremony and dinner in the backyard of Karen’s parents’ home. Honestly, it was one of our favorite weddings we have ever photographed. It was so incredible personal and the joy and love they had for each other was felt by each family member present. Fast forward to their one year anniversary and they finally got to throw the party that they had dreamed up! It was so fun to celebrate with them and to see all their family again. Their friends were beyond thrilled to see them and dance the night away with them after they had an amazing candle lit seated dinner.

Tara and Craig : A Downtown Memphis Courthouse Elopement by Amy Dale

Tara and Craig : A Downtown Memphis Courthouse Elopement by Amy Dale

Tara and Craig were one of the many sweet couples that have postponed their wedding again and again, hoping that the impact of the pandemic would have minimized to be able to celebrate with their extended family and friends. And while it’s difficult to imagine such an incredible milestone in life without a large celebration, these two were full of love and were at ease with their intimate courthouse wedding. Between the rain showers we snuck around Downtown and made sure to drop by their house for an official new family photo with their dogs. It was a memorable celebration and there is no doubt in my mind that Tara and Craig will be able to face whatever life throws at them! Congratulations to these beautiful families!

Eva and Joe : A Peabody Wedding by Amy Dale

Eva and Joe : A Peabody Wedding by Amy Dale

I was so inspired and encouraged by Eva and Joe throughout the planning and the wedding day. They are full of joy, laughs, and so much love for each other and their Framily! Yes, Framily! They had a support system of family and friends, that were like kin, travel from all over to celebrate their marriage! Their intimate Peabody Hotel wedding was wonderfully crafted to create a laid back and loving environment in which to celebrate their vows. Though many wedding receptions have a dancing party, Eva and Joe chose to have a fabulous dinner and end the evening with a pool party! Was newly announced husband and wife, they both made their big splash into the pool, creating an unforgettable evening! Congratulations you two! You are incredible and I wish you and your family the best of years to come!
