Bryant and Jordan : A Peabody Rooftop Proposal by Amy Dale

Bryant and Jordan : A Peabody Rooftop Proposal by Amy Dale

This moment was eleven years in the making. Bryant and Jordan have been together since before High School! Ten years ago was the last time they had been to The Peabody but this time, Bryant had some tricks up his sleeve. The beautiful view on The Peabody rooftop was the perfect stage and Jordan, well, she said “Yes!” Their families had secretly driven up to celebrate with them and as soon as the ring was on Jordan’s finger, they ran out from around the corner bursting with excitement. Congratulations to you, Bryant and Jordan, and to your sweet families!

Kaitlyn and Jo : A Shelby Farms and Collierville Town Square Forever Session by Savannah and Philip

Kaitlyn and Jo : A Shelby Farms and Collierville Town Square Forever Session by Savannah and Philip

We first met Jo and Kaitlyn a couple years back. We were photographing Kaitlyn and her cousin for their Granny’s Christmas present. Jo came along for a few portraits with Kaitlyn and even though they hadn’t been together for long we could tell that there was something special about their relationship.

They are both independent and two of the hardest working people we have ever met. They compliment each other in ways that only fellow driven people can. When one is start out on a new adventure, the other is there to be the biggest cheerleader! They both are always striving to be the best version of themselves and they are an inspiration to watch!

Tara and Craig : A Downtown Memphis Engagement Session by Amy Dale

Tara and Craig : A Downtown Memphis Engagement Session by Amy Dale

There’s not one of us that will go unaffected from the events of 2020. Tara and Craig are no exception, however, a postponed wedding made way for an engagement session until they tie the knot next fall! And what a gorgeous day it was for it! We hit Mud Island, a special date night spot for them early in their relationship. All they needed was The River, a sandwich, and each other. I’m pretty sure their confident contentment in the simplest of things is how they are cranking through 2020. Thanks for sharing your vibe, Tara and Craig!

Caroline and Tyler : A Shelby Farms Engagement Session by Philip and Savannah

Caroline and Tyler : A Shelby Farms Engagement Session by Philip and Savannah

A mutual love of cats, political candidates, and being very chill was what initially drew Caroline to Tyler. Over a few years of long distance dating they grew closer in their relationship and then a cancer diagnosis for Tyler really solidified their relationship. Together they went through something that was so crappy and it only made them stronger and more in love. As we spent time with them, we could clearly see their deep love for one another and how they are a great support system for each other. Their smiles are full of affection and you can see how much they care for one another! We can’t wait for their wedding next October!

Jeff and Cassie : A Memphis Proposal by Savannah and Philip

Jeff and Cassie : A Memphis Proposal by Savannah and Philip

When Jeff called us about his upcoming proposal to Cassie, you could hear two things in his voice: excitement and a little bit of being nervous. He was so ready to ask Cassie to marry him but he wanted to make sure that everything went perfectly!
The plan was to pop the question on the day they got the keys to their new house! He fibbed just a little and told her they were going to dinner after getting the keys but it was all an excuse to make sure she was dressed up after work. As she pulled up to meet him you could see they were both excited to finally have their new home and start to put down roots here in Memphis.

Peter and Kara : A Downtown Memphis Proposal by Amy

Peter and Kara : A Downtown Memphis Proposal by Amy

Romantic light, camera, ACTION!

Peter had Kara thinking he was heading out on a trip to the Smokey Mountains with Griffin, their adorable, bouncy new puppy. Their friends, knowing what was ahead, were doing their best to keep Kara from backing out of going to the river with them. Luckily, they succeeded or else Peter would have been left alone hidden in the trees until he was supposed to return from said trip. It’s really incredible how much thought goes into something so seemingly simple, but Peter did a great job incorporating the things that matter most to him and Kara. Their visits to the river at sunset with Griffin mean so much to them and the look on Kara’s face when she saw her closest friends witness this moment was priceless.
