One of our absolutely favorite things about being wedding photographers is getting to meet families and see them through life. Nine years ago we photographed Barbara’s wedding to Dave and in the process can to LOVE the Phillips family. Fast forward a few years and Kendall was in my (Savannah sister’s wedding and he even escorted me during the recessional. We got even close to Kendal through my sister and brother-in-law and got to see him meet, fall in love with, propose to, and now marry Alexis!!!

There is something so special about knowing the couple well when we get to photograph their wedding. We get to see in to the little bit of their love for one another and know their inside jokes. Also we get to see and truly know the love that their family and friends have for them. Kendall and Alexis decided to have a very intimate family only ceremony and then had all their bridal party join them afterwards! Seeing all their friends come up and give them the biggest hugs and congratulations after was the best! Everyone was so genuinely happy and excited for them!

I don’t think we’ve ever seen a couple smile so much during their day! From the first look to the exit, Kendall and Alexis were so excited to finally be married! They had a fabulous day that both of their families poured their hearts into. From Barbara working for months to help plan to Dave running interference during the reception to Alexis’s mom Marshelle gifting Alexis her own wedding dress to have custom fit to her, everyone played a huge role in bringing happiness to this couple who deserves all the love. When Kendall’s mom Lisa say Alexis in her dress for the first time, I swear I don’t think she was going to recover from the excitement! Kendall’s amazing groomsmen never left the dance floor and the bridesmaids made sure Alexis was full of joy and laughter all day! And let’s not forget Felicity, the most adorable flower girl who happens to be Kendall’s niece and who adored by EVERYONE. Felicity and Alexis have a super special relationship and it was so fun to see Barbara’s daughter loving her new aunt so much!

Both of Kendall and Alexis’s families fully embraced the other! I don’t think I’ve ever seen two families truly becoming one. Towards the end of the reception both families joined together in a big family dance circle and the joy for this union was seen on every single face. These are the moments we live for and can walk away from a wedding know that this couple will last a lifetime, not only because of their love for one another but for the team that surrounds them and supports them 100%. Team Kenlexis forever.
