Sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact. When looking at the full picture of how Maggie and Jake fell in love, it was the little things that showed them each that they had found the one their hearts were longing for. One of the first times Maggie remembers encountering Jake was on a walk with her dog. During this time the attentiveness of Jake made Maggie feel beautiful and fully seen. It is was subtle and nothing grand but she felt that in that moment she had found a deep connection with Jake that she has never experienced before. They both feel completely seen and trust implicitly in the other as they journey through this thing called life.
Their wedding day was one that clearly showed the joy and peace that they have found in their relationship. Nervous jitters were calmed as soon as they saw one another at the end of the aisle. Jakes eyes welled with tears as his beautiful bride walked towards him; like the first time he encountered Maggie on a walk he saw the beautiful woman that she is not only on the outside but also in her heart.
What is delightful about these two is they are unabashedly true to their personalities and they fashioned their reception after their love of joy in the simple things. They turned Bobby Lanier Farm into a beautiful church bazaar style party. From goats to amazing food under a beautiful tent to the dance party and finally their exit on their bikes, it was perfectly Jake and Maggie. But you don’t have to take our word for it.
