This was a day that celebrated two people that just work together so well! Jessica and Traynor get each other’s sense of humor, both are driven professionally, and they understand each other well. They know their strengths and weaknesses and how to be there for one another. And they both have giving hearts! Instead of having a traditional registry they asked everyone to donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. How awesome is that?! So their wedding day at The Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis, TN was a celebration of two people that were meant to be with one another as life partners. And it has been so great to get to know them and help them celebrate their relationship!
One part of the day that really stuck out to us as indicative of their relationship was their first dance! These two love to do things together whenever they can! They are both very busy with work so they cherish the time they spend together such as working out together almost every day. So, in prep for the wedding, they spent time together taking dance lessons! And lots of them! For them, it wasn’t just trying to learn to dance better, it was about spending time with one another. They love experiences so it was much more than a requirement for them, it was fun for them! So this amazing first dance was a culmination of all the time they spent together to achieve this goal. They are a team and want to tackle life together!
The whole wedding was also stunning! The Peabody is always a beautiful backdrop for a wedding (and getting ready!), the florals by Holliday’s Flowers were popping with color, the dress that Jessica purchased from Maggie Louise was gorgeous, and Amy Tyler Weddings was there to help keep it all on track! And then the weather, even though it did not cooperate for the ceremony, came through for a beautiful sunset! Jessica and Traynor both were so happy to get one for photos and for the show itself. But the show didn’t end there. They were able to have fireworks… from two different events! How much cooler could it get than to have TWO fireworks displays at your wedding?
Jessica and Traynor, we had a blast with you two! The day was beautiful, and we are excited for you.

When Joe called us about being a part of his proposal to Jen, we could instantly hear the excitement in his voice! Being high school sweethearts, Joe and Jen have been together for almost 9 years and they have some exciting times ahead of them this year!
Joe completely surprised Jen when he proposed in the Peabody Skyway Ballroom. He had her thinking they were going to a work party and instead he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife! Jen was completely surprised but her eyes told the story of the love that she has for Joe! They both were giddy with excitement after the big moment and as we took some portraits of the newly engaged couple, neither could stop smiling and giggling. We loved being a part of your story and we cannot wait to see what is in store for your new little family!

These two have stolen our hearts! Their story is full of shared passion for helping others, support for each other’s dreams, and loyalty to one another over every one else. The tender moments they shared on the wedding – from their first look to their first dance – showcased their devotion. You could see in Dan’s eyes his love for Susie, and you could in Susie’s smile her comfort when in Dan’s arms. But they also had a blast celebrating with their friends and family! It was so meaningful to see people come from all over the country to join together in supporting these two in their new journey together. Dan and Susie, we cannot wait to see what the future holds for you two!

A Memphis Proposal at Beale Street Landing
When we talked to Matt before the proposal, he couldn’t stop talking about Megan’s openness and trust. She is fully committed to him, and that just means the world for him to know! By the second date they were having deep conversations to get to know one another because they both felt so comfortable to be themselves with one another. And this is when you know when there is a special connection between two people!
So the past Friday night that connection birthed a new stage in their beautiful journey. Matt proposed to Megan at the Beale Street Landing in downtown Memphis, overlooking the river at sunset. The warmth of the scene was matched by their tender excitement! Megan was all smiles and Matt relieved to know that she is officially his forever. Plus Matt had Megan’s parents fly in from Idaho to join the celebration with his own family – how awesome is that?! Fiancé of the year award right there!
Matt and Megan, it was so fun and refreshing to see your beautiful relationship start on a new, exciting path! Any relationship built on openness, authenticity, and commitment is special and rare. Be thankful and celebrate. We cannot wait to see how the future unfolds for you two!

Spring weather in downtown Memphis and Harbor Town is hard to beat! Kelly and Zac had some of the best weather for their engagement session. When the sun is out and a cool breeze is coming off the river, it is hard not to have a good time. It also helps that we were just a couple of couple’s in love hanging out, taking some photos, and talking life. We learned that these two not only love one another but they have a great life together! They enjoy the simple things together and that’s when you know you have someone special. Enjoy some of their engagement photos from downtown Memphis and see what we mean!

Cheers!
