We love hearing how couples get together! It’s one of the most fun parts of our work because everyone’s story is unique. For Gina and Will, they met playing kickball! How fun is that?! From that alone you can learn a lot about these two. They have a great energy individually that is just increased when together. They are goofy together. Introverted but not shy to have a good time. All in all, it is safe to say that these two only enhance each other’s personalities and lives!
Underneath all the fun they have together is a strong bond. You see it in the little things like when Will pulls her in close. Gina relaxes, soaks it up. She looks safe and loved. Will’s face grows with pride the more he sees her relax and have a good time with him. What may sound overdramatic here is really what you can see happen in person. It happens quickly, but it is there. In this way they feed off each other in those little signals that people in love can relate to through their own experiences. In those moments you feel like you’re the only one’s in the world, don’t you? Or maybe better yet, you feel like you can take whatever the world throws at you. This is what it is like for them, and it is invigorating to see!
This Forever Session at Shelby Farms Park could only be complete if Ladybird, their dog, made an appearance. Ladybird was one the best behaved dog’s we have photographed! She loved the camera and had no problem posing all day for it! Plus she was literally smiling – happy as can be being with her people. Plus, Gina and Will were so happy being with Ladybird. As parents to our own fur babies, we get it! They bring so much joy to your life and you are so proud and honored to have them in your life. Ladybird is spoiled, Gina and Will know, it, and love every minute of it.
But now on to the photos! It was such a beautiful Spring day! Hope you all enjoy the eye candy, and Gina and Will, cannot wait for your wedding later this year!

The moment we saw Julie take off her shoes so she could just have her feet feel the grass, we knew we were going to have a good time with her and Blake. It’s no secret that we enjoy the outdoors and, whenever we have a couple that is the same way, we know this is going to be a good relationship! So of course, Julie and Blake wanted outdoors for their Forever Session and there is no better place than Shelby Farms right here in Memphis!
When the clouds rolled in, Julie got so excited because she loves storms. Thankfully the rain held off, but we were all soaking in the moody skies and cool breeze. Even though it was moody weather, Julie and Blake were full of smiles! Even though they had a long day (and week!), they were able to stop and really just forget about everything for a few minutes. And you could see the calm slowly take over as they finally were able to focus on only each other.
For us, a Forever Session is not just a fancy name for an engagement session. It is not simply a run through where we get to know one another – by the time of your Forever Session we already know one another well! It is a chance for you to stop, breathe, getaway from the stresses of work and wedding, and celebrate why this is all happening – your relationship!
And this is what it was for these two! Julie’s eyes were fixed on Blake the whole time – so excited that they were close. He was making her laugh, which made him laugh. He has holding her tight, letting her know that he will never let her fall. Through it all we saw their personalities come out – at times they acted like we weren’t even there – and we were able to see fun snippets of why they have chose one another. It was amazing to watch and photograph!
And we can’t forget Scout, Julie and Blake’s dog! We loved his calm demeanor and how he was so focused on the next scent or animal coming around the corner. He was so sweet!
There is much more to come for these two and soon! Their wedding is this weekend,and we can’t wait to share more of their relationship. Until then, here are some more photographs from their session!

A conversation at a New Year’s Eve party between a thoughtful guy and a vibrant girl. That’s all it took to take two acquaintances, Kyle and Meghan, to become a couple… well… and a month’s wait until Kyle finally asked her out… But Meghan has grown to love Kyle’s patience and thoughtfulness! But in all seriousness, conversation is what binds these two together!
Kyle told us he enjoys a good conversation that is filled with openness and intimacy, and he loved that Meghan matched his desire for this. Meghan loves that she feels heard when she talks to Kyle – he is present and caring. And in this conversations the push each other intellectually, emotionally, spiritually. And as we spend more time with them we are seeing this beautiful, organic relationship always in stride together! They are curious together. They are open to the world together. They are intimately connected. It’s a beautiful sight that is worth taking in and admiring. But don’t take our word for it…
It’s hard to beat the lovely scenery of Shelby Farms Park!
And who can not mention Baxter?! This little pup was the best dog to photograph and this family is just so adorable all together!

When you get to marry your best friend, the whole world can see your happiness shining forth. And that is just the case for Amanda and Jon! Their smiles light up a room when they look at each other and you find yourself smiling right along with them. Their love for the simple things, like walking Bernard together, makes the every day routines just as romantic as the grand gestures. Jon will grab Amanda’s hand on walks and it helps her to feel loved and wanted, because after all this time he still wants to hold her hand. And Amanda has a heart full of endless love for Jon that she pours upon him daily. This couple truly makes our hearts sing when we are with them and we cannot wait for their upcoming wedding!

Cassondra and Cody are getting married THIS WEEKEND down in Corinth and we can’t be more excited to join them in their celebration!! Getting to spend time with them during their engagement session here in Memphis showed us their love for one another and how excited they are to start their lives together. They seriously are the cutest together and we know their wedding will be a blast!
