One of the things we’ve come to love about Stephanie and Trace is their ability to see meaning in the small things! As photographers we have sought to create work for our client that will always have meaning and significance in their lives for generations to come. It might be a favorite portrait that says “we are classy but we like to have fun” or it might be a tender moment shared with a loved one. For Stephanie and Trace’s full post we asked them to share a few of their favorite photographs from their wedding weekend and tell a little about why those specific photographs mean so much to them! We love how special each one of these is to the couple!
I can’t help but get butterflies looking at this picture. Prayer before sharing a meal together is so important for Trace and I and has been for a long time. We thank God together before every meal we share and our rehearsal dinner was no exception! It meant so much to us for Trace’s dad to bless us and our families before the wedding day fun. I probably would have forgotten that Trace kissed my hand during his father’s prayer – but I’m so thankful I get to cherish this intimate moment forever. This picture shows the love we have for each other but also for The Lord and a desire to keep Him in our marriage.
How can you look at this picture and not physically feel all the love? I am extremely blessed to have a mother-in-law that loves me so well. We have gotten so close to each other during the engagement process and I am so thankful for it. I got to really know an incredible woman with so much love to give to her 6 children (and now two new daughter-in-laws)! This picture is so special because, to me, it symbolizes Ms. Tammy giving me the final “okay” to take on the responsibility to be her first born’s wife.
Anyone who knows me knows how much my father means to me. Although our wedding day was an extremely proud moment for my father, I know it was hard to “give away” his daughter and to watch me become Trace’s wife. I LOVE this picture because it was part of the “First Look” my father and I shared. Every dress for every special occasion I’ve had growing up (First Communion, Father/Daughter Dances, Sweet 16) has always been a surprise to my dad and the wedding dress was no different! (Actually, thinking about how this is my last “surprise” dress for my dad makes me extremely emotional!) Creating a private moment for him and I to share before he walked me down the aisle is a memory I will forever cherish.
I owe so much of who I am to these ladies in this picture. I have learned over time that blood doesn’t make people family – what my heart feels and the love I have for these women is what makes them my family. My sister is my first very best friend. We have so many memories together and even with the tragedy of losing our brother, we looked to each other to build each other up. I have my best friend from pre-k, another from 7th grade, two from high school, three more from college, and my two NEW sisters! I am so blessed and so grateful for all of these incredibly gorgeous bridesmaids, inside and out, and for their love leading up to the wedding day. I can never say “thank you” enough to these 10 women!
Although not very flattering, this has become one of my favorite pictures from the weekend. After 15 months of planning a wedding and finally saying “I Do” to the man of my dreams, this picture perfectly sums up my emotions. I was bursting with excitement. From the beginning of wedding planning, I said “if Trace shows up to the wedding, I will be the luckiest girl in the world. Everything else that goes right is a bonus.” Lucky for me, Trace showed up and now I’m married to the most caring, thoughtful, and selfless man I have ever met.
It was extremely important to me to have my brother as present as he possibly could be at our wedding. He died 15 years ago but I’ve always felt a close connection to him. I had a piece of his clothing sewed into my dress so I could keep him close to my heart on our wedding day. I also had a chair saved for him at the ceremony with his belongings on it. I could feel my brother’s love all day and that meant the world to me!
Here is a look at Stephanie and Trace’s full wedding day!! We loved how excited everyone was for the day and that they couldn’t contain their joy for the couple!!

One of our favorite parts of photographing Jewish weddings is how involved the family is in the ceremonies. At Leah and Matt’s wedding at Temple Israel we absolutely fell in love with both of their families! Both families were so excited for the marriage of Leah and Matt and the day was filled with tears, laughter, and endless dancing!
Leah’s sister, Rachel, is a rabbi and she performed the ceremonies for the couple and hands and we might be a little biased but the words she spoke that day were absolutely perfect! The personal touches she brought to the day had nearly everyone in tears and you could tell she put so much thought and love into this special day for her sister. Leah’s sister Anna is a makeup artist and did the most amazing job on Leah’s makeup. Seeing the Bearman sisters come together to use their individual gifts to help make the day so special was heart warming! And Matt’s sister got to be a part of the unique sisterhood that day! Seeing the unity of families was absolutely perfect!
We can’t forget how both sets of parents came together to bless their children during the ketubah signing. This is one of our favorite parts of the Jewish wedding, the intimacy that this ceremony holds is incredibly special. We loved seeing Matt’s parents supporting their son and his bride. The moment when Papa Leo tried to share his handkerchief with Leah, had us in tears! Leah’s dad kept stealing hugs and with his daughter and his own wife. These little moments of tenderness are what makes us love both of these families so much!
And Leah and Matt, you stole our hearts nearly a year ago when we first met you and on your wedding day you continued to show us why we love you so such as a couple. As Leah was getting ready all she could talk about was finally seeing Matt, she wanted him by her side all day. And as they did their first look we saw a Matt fought back tears at the sight of his glorious bride.
When they are in each others arms, they are complete. We talked to their family members before the wedding and they all showed us that when Leah and Matt are together their souls unite to form a bright light, a light that is brightest when they are together. Their connection lights up a room and you want to draw them into your life so you can be filled with the light that is in them.
Leah, Matt and both of your families, thank you for sharing your brightness with us. We are greater people because we have met you and share in your joy and happiness!!
We love that Leah and Matt took a little break on their day to sit alone and enjoy a glass of wine together. Every couple should have some time alone on their day to soak in all that is happening!
We normally love to end on the couple but this photograph of Leah’s dad gets to us every time we see it. David stood by himself for a couple minutes after the couple drove away and he watched the car until it completely gone. The untied bow tie, the streamers surrounding him, and his small smile sum up what we think ever dad feels as their little girls drive away on their wedding day, a hint of sadness that a chapter in her life is closing but pride and happiness as a new chapter is starting for her.

Laughter, holding back tears, and dancing the night away were all key parts of Kelly and Zac’s wedding day at Spring Creek Ranch. These two have been together for a very long time and they wanted their wedding to be the biggest celebration and party they have ever been to. Careful detail was put into each part of the day so that they could enjoy it full with all their friends and family and all the hard work paid off!
We had so much fun with these two. Their smiles are contagious and their joy is abundant! When Kelly and Zac came into the studio to view their wedding photographs we had such an amazing time reliving the day with them. As we asked Zac about his favorite part of the day he instantly talked about how special their first look was. When he was in place to see Kelly and heard her laughter coming form behind it finally started to hit him that it was their wedding day! We adore the little smirk he has as he waits to see his bride for the first time! Thank you both for sharing your day with us!
