Mickey and Diana: Wedding

Mickey and Diana: Wedding

When we first met with Diana we knew instantly that we were going to love her wedding day. Several years ago her husband passed away. Through the joys of the internet Diana met Mickey and come to find out they actually went to the same church. They timidly went on their first date and have been together every day since.

On her wedding day Diana was a bundle of joy. I’ve never seen a bride more excited to be getting married! She literally bounced around all day with excitement. Her curly red hair created a beautiful crown around her head and was one of my favorite parts about Diana 🙂 Another favorite element was her dress. Years ago Diana’s aunt gave her the dress that she wore on her wedding day, in the 1950s. All this time it has been boxed up waiting to be worn again and this special day was the perfect day for this extra special dress.

As we watched Diana and Mickey together we knew that they were perfect for one another. So much love and happiness could be seen between them. On this day they joined their lives together and also created an extended for both their sets of children. It was so amazing to watch their children be so excited for them to find love again after so much pain.

As our last wedding of 2012 this was a great one to end on. It always inspires us to see couples so in love. Nothing is better than an extremely happy and excited couple. So many emotions were shown during this wedding and it was an honor to be able to capture them.

We hope you enjoy this little look into Diana and Mickey’s wedding day.

At last, my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
Oh, yeah, at last
The skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clovers
The night I looked at you
I found a dream that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to rest my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
Oh, yeah when you smile, you smile
Oh, and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine
At last

Catherine and Bill: New Year’s Eve Wedding Preview

When Catherine and Bill asked us to be a part of their New Year’s Eve wedding we had no clue how much we would fall in love with them. From Catherine’s sweet smile to Bill’s contagious laugh everything about this couple is perfect. They truly were meant to be together. Through unconventional ways these two found each other and on New Year’s Eve started their lives together as husband and wife. But this was not only a joining of two people in love, this was a joining of two families into one.

Starting our New Year with this couple was the best way we could have spent our day! We had the time of our lives watching these two share their love with one another. This wedding was about joy, laughter, love, and fun and that is all we ask for in our couples.

Bill and Catherine, Thank you so much for including us in your day! This New Year has started out better than we could have ever dreamed and we are so glad we got to spend it with you both and your family!

One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was their bridal party, their gorgeous children!

A dip during your first dance is a must!

What we love most about Bill and Catherine is that they don’t care who is around, they are 100 % into each other. As everyone rang in the New Years the couple forgot about their guest and were engrossed in one another. As beautiful as all the details were and as wonderful as the food was, nothing is more important than the couple on the wedding day. It makes us so happy to see that a couple can forget all that is around them and focus on one another.

This is just the tiniest glimpse at Bill and Catherine’s wedding day and we can’t wait to share more with you guys!

Cheers,
Savannah and Philip

Cary and Laura: A Heartwood Hall Wedding, Part 1

Cary and Laura: A Heartwood Hall Wedding, Part 1

I love the above image of Laura. I think it sums up the feeling of her wedding day perfectly, anxious for the day to happen but so ready to marry her best friend Cary.

We sat down with Laura and Cary a couple weeks before their wedding just to spend a little more time getting to know them and understand what was important to them on their wedding day. One thing they kept telling us was the importance of family. When the wedding day cam we fully understood what they were talking about. Both of their families surrounded them with love as their special day took place, so much so that many tears of joy and happiness were shed.

Cary and Laura have a love for one another that is easy to see and all that are around them know that they are perfect for one another. The weather on their day decided to have a mind of its own but that didn’t get them down. Even as gust of winds swept through their ceremony they both smiled and laughed through it all. Laura’s veil almost left her head but they could care less, there were leaving as husband and wife! Having seen them so graciously get through a crazy storm on what was supposed to be a cloud free day, we clearly know that they can weather whatever life throws their way. As long as they hold each other close through the storms of life they will come out winning!

And here is a look at the first part of their day! We have a second blog post coming with all the juicy details and fun reception so stay tuned!
